recorded in the winter/spring of 2009, first released in june 2009. at the time i called it my failed kompakt techno experiment, i started out with that minimal beat in mind but ended with something different. the title was the first thing i started with after watching some miss helen mirror on tv at the period, still love the title really. songs became longer and i discovered the delay while recording. this second record was the first one were i started settling on an sound of my own. some weeks after recording the screaming girls on the last track during their sunday afternoon youth group activity a baby fetus was found on their field with the mother being one of the girls

desolat is happy to announce a new 12inch by giuseppe cennamo. born in naples, italy in 1980, giuseppe took to the turntables at age 13. following the legacy of fellow napolitanos like marco carola, danilo vigorito and davide squillace, he took the inspiration of classic house and melodic synths to build his own brand of tech. his tracks on several labels got a lot of peak time play and caught the ears of loco dice. fortuitously, after a break to clear his head, mr cennamo decided to take the inspiration of a loco dice dj set to create something specifically tailored for desolat, which resulted in this release.this particular slice of vinyl is aimed squarely at the djs - with the title track amanecer digging deep into the pads, a cantering kick and gentle swing that hints at detroit forefathers. cuando tu quieres stomps its heels and morphs into a very whimsical bouncing house burner: plenty of fun to be had with this one. dejame asi feels like a spaghetti western re-imagined with the help of a conical moving laser beam, a childrens choir and a bag full of kazoos while the rest of nothing is a reduced, pinocchio-like percussion-driven track with an insistent bassline

whats my name, the latest single from the bajan songstress rihanna, is not a cover of the clashs 1977 punk classic, but finds riri taking a detour from the dancefloor-scorching grooves of only girl to craft a steamier cut which draws its heat from her short-lived, but much-buzzed-about relationship with the t-dot heavyweight. here, the upbeat synth boardwork of stargate sets the stage for a heaping helping of innuendo from both collaborators, drizzy handles verse one, sing-rapping his way through a double-entendre-peppered opener (the square root of 69 is (eight/ate) something… right? cause i been tryin to work it out.), and rihanna responds in kind, lacing her verses and chorus with some playful come-ons of her own. digging this catchy ode to young love/lust? then be sure to grab a copy of this vinyl and the heavy remixes it has.

italojohnson starts the new year punctual with his third stroke. this record will have something suitable on it for everyone out there. without batting an eyelid, its crosseyed and selfconfident, looking at three different floors at the same time: the a-side focuses on the chicago house floor. it begins with a recognizable toolish sound. slowely but surely the theme of the track opens – the track works through a breakdown, a classic drum roll sneaks in and jack grabs again. the b1 provides an unusual turn on the third italojohnson production. theres no space for compromises here. the track stomps on the steam engine warehouse floor. a flowing acid hookline is settled in the industrial drumline and gives the track its meaning. the second track on the flipside completes the whole package and is destined for the late night hours. thats everything there is to say about this track – the strength and emotion can only be experienced by listening first hand. love, peace and happiness

encapsulating carolas approach to techno in both sound and title, groove catcher is the naples producer at his best, with a rolling bassline punctuated by a percussion pattern that teases out the funk of the track in carolas trademark style: pacey and direct, but with enough bounce and fluidity to fully snare the occupants of the dancefloor within its grip and make them do its bidding. fellow album cut, the method, which appears on the vinyl format only, is similarly insistent whilst lighter in tone - if groove catcher is best employed at the peak of a club set, then the method is its daytime terrace equivalent. leading the ep will be the rework of groove catcher by martin buttrich, with the german producer lending the considerable talents that have led to releases on poker flat and cocoon recordings - as well as his recruitment behind the mixing desk for timo maas and loco dice - to a pair of remixes that transform the original into a different beast entirely. remix a mutates groove catcher into something monstrous and intimidating, bringing a different intensity to the track and injecting it with a heightened sense of danger.

skreeeetch …. de lorean skidmarks scratching the tarmac. it is 1984 all over again. the most freshestest sound ever - even fresher now. as this is the sam with the golden ame! rough electro boogieness in high definition. what happened? running back, the goonies of the clublands, unearthed a treasure from the uk eighties art funk vaults: nature makes a mistake - written and produced by chris bishop, originally released on the cassette sampler >sex & bestiality<, bain total, something so much more streetsounds than thoughtcrime which was restored and remastered for vinyl in 2010. after that the little diamond was given the treatment by those ueber-couturiers of electrical bliss-dom: ame (teaming-up with marcel dettmann in the mix). the result is probably one of the greatest ame efforts ever, maintaining the spirit of the original and teleporting it onto the dance floors of the 21st century, the age this piece of futurist art always was destined to have its true rightful place in time. words by kk.

shakarchi & straneus are faik and daniel, two bffs from gothenburg who are making some of the most catchy, emotional and well crafted dance music we have heard in a long time. both had been involved in music for a while when they started working together at their hometowns top tapas joint, manana. in between washing dishes and serving patatas bravas, the boys would burst out short tracks and sound experiments in the makeshift studio they had set up inside mananas cloakroom. this led to a debut 12 inch on malmo based geography recordings and now comes their five track ep >dodskallar och korallrev<: studio barnhus second release, the best swedish house record since jesper dahlbacks >what is the time mr. templar?<, something we are immensely proud of being able to release.

please welcome a new member to the mojuba label family, sirko müller. to some of you sirko might not be so unknown, because hes in the game since the mid 90s and is one of the founding members of the label tokomak records, which was also founded by mojuba head honcho don williams back in the days, and he recorded also tracks for pure plastic sublabel rewired, styrax and milnor modern. after a long hiatus sirko is now ready for some new action, so to reintroduce him to you we decided to put out some of his classic tracks as well as some unreleased bits! its quite hard to believe that these tracks are from about a decade ago, because they are still sounding fresh but also capture that little dirt and roughness which still remembers to the early years of clubbing!

>3.652 tage< : the track a day originated after my 10-year-old djs jubilee. from the mood of the eve, there originated thus the acoustics-percussion beat with emitter surfaces. >zeitfenster< : this track with miguel aka electric gloss, to a friend from portugal produced. he has visited me for two days in frankfurt, meanwhile we were diligent in the studio. the sound capes remind me of a typical summer thunderstorm. >eureka< : this number has something incredible for me. a kind of space-electro with quite futuristic melody. if somewhat is inspired by the film barbarella. unambiguously one of my favourites on the album.

a welcome return to dmx krew, simply one of the uks finest producers ! sounds like analord turned up to 11 ! ed dmx reminds us all hes still number one when it comes to beautiful, esoteric electronic music. still aimed squarely at the dancefloor, ed provides us with a really strong and, as always, diverse package with something for everyone....

the two hamburg based acts me succeeds and arp aubert are responsible for the first part of a ki records split series. on the ep named after the city in the north of germany the two acts combine their friendship and musical preferences to remix each other and contribute one very own track on each side. me succeeds, with their members mona steinwidder, sebastian kokus and lorin strohm, is a part of hamburgs labelcollective i saw music and their songs combine indie pop with electronic beats and chords. arp aubert consists of the two founding members of mirau records: stephan lorenz and marco niemerski. niemerski is better known for his productions as tensnake, but keeps arp aubert running as a matter of heart. the ki-split 1/3 (hamburg) is truly a family matter. because of their close friendship, me succeeds and arp aubert have created a very intense and emotional record. by remixing each other and combining their musical background this release turns out to be a very special one for ki and the acts themselves. the cover was created by me succeeds in well known ki tradition to make this piece of music something special and memorable.

supported by: reboot, dubfire, ewan pearson, samuel l session, raresh, tim xavier, christian smith,.. with oliver deutschmann & ed davenport polytone proceeds on its way to focus on exceptional artists who have something really profound to say musicwise. quite slowly, but highly stringently deutschmann and davenport build up this musical journey until, without really realising, youre in the middle of a very slamming house track of a truely oldschool kind which gains further drama due to subtle chord changes. in his remix, matthias vogt from motorcitysoul further emphasises the tracks house character by adding more chords and then lets the deepness culminate in a wonderful break. robert bosco totally breaks out of the traditional catgories house and techno and combines the best of both worlds in his remix distilling it to a kind of essence of electronic music. all three tracks have in common an immensely consistent approach and a pleasingly trend-resistant understanding of deep music

m a n i k returns to ovum after his incredibly successful park to the slope ep. he comes to us this whit his follow up keep that fresh ep. the title of the ep says it all as m a n i k is constantly evolving his sound and keeping the music fresh. the title track >keep that fresh< has a funky 303 bass line with intricate grooves and a hook made up of some chords. this is something that will clearly get the floor rolling. next up is ditmars blvd with its heavy drums and catchy synth line, is a stone cold groove track. on the b side we start with >hold on<. this track is inspired by the sounds of early west coast g funk hip hop with its lead synth and funked up analog bass line. the final cut on this diverse ep is >shes slow motion<, with its r&b vocal floating over the incredible deep instrumental. this is something you could hear in the early mornings at a brooklyn warehouse party. all in all a great diverse follow up from m a n i k that should be in the sets of a wide range of djs

>mr nice< features snippets of howard marks which are interlaced with clattering breakbeats and booming sub bass. while we are sure howard would approve of a late night after party session, for many this will be the soundtrack to what happens before they leave the club! label boss steppa and his co-producer kitcha provide an excellent aa side which harks back to the classic formation records era. splicing in cheeky samples lifted from anthems of old and twisting them into something brand new, this one is just as fearsome on the dancefloor.

after his great release on royal oak recently marco bernardi is back on creme with a beautiful grand sweeping house track. >klinsfrar melode< rolls like a wave over the sandy beaches of your mind... or something like that. on the flip dj sprinkles beats the hell out of it with an epic 12 minute old school flavored warrior groove.

roberto bosco is a young italian producer with a short but highly impressive discography, citing labels such as samuel l. sessions klap klap, orlando voorns night vision and len fakis figure. lately, he has released on be as one, an israeli imprint thats attracted the tastes of loco dice, gui boratto, kate simko, agoria and gummihz. claudio mate has an unique kind of sound: there is something like classic atmospheres expressed into new spine-tingle grooves, a deep-cosmic-solid journey or more simply just the trip of his life story. claudio mate got the respect of such names like the godfather of techno music juan atkins (for him claudio remixed >game one< previously licensed on the legendary metroplex), orlando voorn, francois k, derrick may and manuel gottsching. the swedish techno heads like adam beyer, samuel l session, joel mull always supported him since the first projects. mate & bosco together are abstract souls, a new project set up to develop their deepest sound. >abstract souls ep< is their first release under their new moniker and contains 4 deep techno tracks, solid techno grooves infused with dark dubby atmospherics and cosmic influenced rhythms.

here it is, the third release on the snuff crew label snuff trax! on snuff trax 003 you find winter in june. you might already know this track from the snuff crew livesets. winter in june is maybe the most melodic snuff trax release so far. this floating music is not only for the body - it s also something for the heart. on the b-side, dance disorder, who release on labels like bpitch control, deliver a fantastic and very epic remix. this mix was also already played by snuff crew in their set for tim sweeneys beats in space show. stx 003 is limited to 250 hand-numbered vinyls.

as someone that wears many hats, including dj, labelowner, producer and radio presenter, anja schneider has certainly been juggling them all very successfully this year. currently on a busy touring schedule in south america celebrating five years of mobilee records, before leaving for the road she also put aside some time to get back in the studio and produce a brand new ep, mobilee072 pushin. whilst she worked on her most recent productions such as ithought and something left with kiki, and also shinkansen with lee van dowski, this time she partnered once again with paul brtschitsch, with whom she co-produced her debut lp beyond the valley in 2008. famed for playing dj-sets that always come with a powerful bass and sexy groove, pushin is the perfect production equivalent of anja schneiders club performance. the title track comes with a soulful vocal, whilst a2 >strong way< is intended as a female interpretation of the same track. meanwhile, b1 >i dont feel anything< takes you on an eery ride with whispered utterances. enjoy!

nice price deal !!! after more than one year slash co-owner ahmet sisman is back with his brand new solo ep! the playing with acid ep is an unapologetic combination of raw-deep techno and electro-pop influenced house music. and as we know it already from mr. sisman, he loves to combine different genres and create his own distinctive flavor! the a-side playing with acid is a pure synthie-baseline dominated track whose melody is drilling through your head that you won’t forget it so easily. this trapping hook line is coming along with some poppy vocals which are giving you a slight association how is it feeling being totally vaporized in the mind. we say, be careful when you playing with acid!!! feel today think tomorrow has a different approach while the ingredients remain the same. it’s the more melancholic side of this record but also filled with pure energy. the guitar phrases creating those feelings between the struggle and harmony in life, and like the title indicates: live today, pay tomorrow! no return no regret is the more poppy side of this record. the b2-side is a mixture of modern elements bonded with the refreshing vibe of the contemporary 80s influence. this fusion is a naive approach of pooling different styles in one track with the intention to create something timeless. even its poppy elements doesn’t seem to allow it we going to love it for a long time and we hope you will feel the same! this three-tracker ep contains the well known “mr. sisman-ingredients”. although the difference to his previous productions laying in its details. find it out for yourself and above all: enjoy it!!!

>les patates<, the fresh new rrygular release by tassilo, one half of pan-pot, is not an homage to french agriculture but a serious techno smasher with high club potential. at first, theres just a nice party atmosphere and … then this rough beat drops in! the small potatoe >petite patate< surprises by adding rudimental elements like the hihat and snare drum always a little late. but you have the feeling you havent missed something yet. this number just sneaks from behind and lulls you in with billowing pads until you sense the final rave sound as a self-evident consequence of it all. the message by g-tech right before the drop proves right - there is not a lack of vibration here! its all about the mixture … and in this case its just felicitous: male choir, clanking cymbals and finally the riff that this track subsists on. tassilo knows how to send the short melody-figure through the different stages of sound design, even though it might have been lively enough without it. this gives the big potatoe >grosse patate< a level of dynamic, that most contemporary techno releases just dont provide.
